| Story: A heart rendering tale, the story is about Appadasu (SPB) and his wife Buchi (Lakshmi). Both are senior citizens and Appadasu is retired. They are living in their traditional home and all their children are living abroad. With no one to take care of them and the natural expectation of loneliness surrounding them, the couple never really feels like that and enjoys life in their own romantic way. How that happens forms the rest of the story. | ||||||
| Presentation: The director has come up with a feel good storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was dramatic. The dialogues were witty in some places, the script was different and the screenplay was decent. The background score was soothing and three songs were very melodious. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was crisp. Costumes didn’t have anything to do and the art department was impressive. S P Balu was at his best once again and he delivered as required. Lakshmi was very complimentary and she made her presence felt in the right manner. | ||||||
Conclusion: Amidst the flood of mass masala entertainers and
romantic films, this is a film which has a very different flavor and it has
more to do with relationship and a bond for lifetime. The first half goes on a
lighter note with elements of comedy and some fun scenes whereas the second
half has a dose of sentiment and a slightly unexpected climax. Overall, this is
a film which is very offbeat and not mainstream. Those who are living abroad
and those who are past 50 in age will enjoy this.
verdict: A heart touching and different film, only for matured audience |
